बहना हो... बह जाना नहीं! (मेरा समर्पण, मेरा अस्तित्व)

अक्सर लोग समझते हैं कि किसी की ओर बहने का मतलब खुद को खो देना है। लेकिन समर्पण का असली अर्थ खुद को मिटाना नहीं, बल्कि अपनी पूरी गरिमा के साथ किसी बड़े विस्तार का हिस्सा बनना है।

एक पुरुष के इसी अडिग स्वाभिमान और प्रेम के दर्शन को समेटे हुए, मेरी यह कविता...

मैं तुम्हें इतने विस्मय से देखता हूँ,

जैसे कोई पहली बार समुद्र को देखता है।

मैं वही नदी हूँ,

जो तुम्हारी ओर बहता हूँ,

तुममें मिलता हूँ,

पर स्वयं को नहीं खोता।

मैं भी उसी स्रोत से जन्मा हूँ,

जहाँ से तुम्हारा विस्तार शुरू हुआ।

हम अलग दिशाओं में बहे होंगे,

पर हमारा जल एक ही है।

मेरा समर्पण मेरा निर्णय है,

मेरा अस्तित्व तुम्हारी स्वीकृति पर नहीं।

तुम समुद्र हो — विशाल, गहन,

और मैं नदी — गतिमान, अडिग।

हम मिलें तो विस्तार हो,

पर मिटना नहीं —

बहना हो, पर बह जाना नहीं।

​I gaze upon thee with such wondrous awe,

as though a mortal beholds the primordial ocean for the very first time.

​I am that selfsame river, destined to journey toward thy bounds;

I converge into thy depths, yet my sovereign soul is never lost.

​For I, too, was birthed from that sacred source

whence thy vast expanse didst commence.

​We may have wandered through divergent realms,

yet the essence of our waters remains eternally one.

​My surrender is an act of mine own sovereign will;

mine existence hangs not upon thy grace or benediction.

​Thou art the ocean — infinite and profound,

and I am the river — relentless, unyielding, and bound.
